HP Operations Orchestrator: Implementation and Integration Strategies

June 6th from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Instructor: Jake Burman, Practice Director

Runbook Automation - What is it? What are the use cases? Is this just for the help desk? I heard it can be used for integrations?

This four-hour session will start out with the basic, discussing what runbook automation is, discussing some practical, real-world use cases including leveraging rune book automation for security compliance and integrations, and begin training you on the industry leading runbook automation platform - HP Operations Orchestration.

The training will start out for beginners walking through the basics of Operations Orchestration. We'll create flows from scratch and dive into the many out-of-box work flows that can be used out-of-the-box. Once we have the basics, we'll explore practical use cases and then dive into using Operations Orchestration to facilitate seamless integrations without leading vendor supported tool for many, or all, of your integrations needs instead of costly, hard to support point solutions. For advanced users, scripters and programmers, we'll also take a look at how to extend Operations Orchestration with custom operations.

Using VMware I've Virtualized My Servers, Now What?

Session #3736

Date: June 8th from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Instructor: Mike Bauer, VP of Marketing & Solution Management

You are rolling out virtualized servers and realizing the many benefits such as higher server utilization, reduced power and cooling costs and shorter deployment times, but is the journey over? Do you know where your virtualized workloads/applications are running at any point in time? Do you know the interrelationships between physical servers, virtual servers and the application interconnections? Can you automate the deployment, patching, and compliance of your servers AND applications? Do you know when your physical and virtual servers, network and storage are operating correctly?

Virtualization changes how your IT infrastructure needs to be deployed and managed. This session will discuss how HP BTO software can be used to address these questions. We will outline the key components for Discovering, Deploying and Operating your virtual environment allowing you to maximize your virtualization investment and putting you solidly on the path toward Private Cloud Computing.
