General Knowledge
- ONetworking - SNMP, SSH, WMI, NetBIOS, TCP/IP protocols, Firewalls/DMZs, Layer2 stack.
- OS - different flavors of Unix (HP-UX, AIX, Solaris, Linux) and Windows + Legacy - familiar with Mainframe, AS400.
- Familiar with technologies for virtualization, storage/SAN, clustering.
- Database - different database types (Sybase, Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc)
- Middleware/J2EE - Websphere, Weblogic, Jboss, JMX protocol.
- Familiar with products like MQ, Tibco, BizTalk, etc. and their architecture.
- Familiar with Packaged Apps - PeopleSoft, SAP, Siebel, OracleApps and their architecture.
- Ability to translate complex customer requirements into optimal technical design and configuration, with an added ability to clearly communicate integration/implementation strategies to customers.
- Ability to successfully integrate disparate systems, including server monitoring, network monitoring, service management and configuration mangement data base.

Industry Experience
- 2-5 years+ of industry experience with OpenView/Peregrine/Mercury/ or other HP Software Products.
- Consulting or project experience with proposal, specification, design, implementation and support.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the day-to-day issues of administering corporate infrastructure.
- Strong programming skills a necessity: preferred languages Perl / Jython / VBScript / ConnectIT / VuGen / Java.
- Knowledgeable of Internet infrastructure, Client Server, and Cloud Computing.
- Strong desire to continue to increase technical knowledge.
- Strong English communication skills -- oral and written.
- College Degree in Computer Science or other engineering technology.
